It is nice to offer blooms to your neighbors, but on the other hand bearded iris blooms don't last long when cut. I leave mine on stem because they last longer uncut. So will they appreciate the short lived blooms more? Another idea would be to pot up increases and offer them to neighbors for a small charity donation. If they express interest in specific iris you can tell them that you will save them an increase and the cost is X charity amount.
