I already know what the Areca will be like because I have had the Yellow Crownshaft for 12+ years...got it from Floribunda back in the day. This palm is a variable palm...it has at least 4 crownshaft colors (red, yellow, maroon and orange) and light and dark variations of those colors. It occurs in the low mountainous rainforest in East Indonesia and Sulawesi and the elevation is also variable. It is felt that the more colorful varieties occur mainly at higher elevation. The seeds are also variable...you can get any color of crownshaft or multiple colors from the same seeds from one palm.
The P. 'Blue Seed' has been around for a while, Floribunda has it sometimes, but has always been rare because there are never many seeds available.
