I understand what you are saying Sol, but both here in the U.S. and Europe this semp is credited with the same hybridizer, David T. Ford ( GB ), 1981.
So it is not a case of two hybridizers using the same name for there new semp.

I do like the idea of giving the fuzzy, highly colored one a different designation of 'Tufted State Fair'. I grew this one for quite a few years before discovering it was not the correct 'State Fair'.
