I told myself I would cut back on crosses this year. I told myself I would only collect a small number of different pollens. Instead I find myself tearing off another chunk of thread-through cross labels. Then I am going through my inventory of frozen pollens to see if I might be able to cook up something really cool this year.

And forget about eating at the kitchen table. Once again it is covered with culture dishes of collected pollens, each waiting the four days to get packaged in a little folded foil packet and tucked into the freezer. At the end of the season they will all be tucked into one packet labeled "Collected pollens 2020".
Whew!

Oh, I forgot all that seed cleaning prior to the seeds going into the freezer...
