Thanks for the responses! I couldn't find that advanced search feature and I'm delighted to see that it does exist. Now I'll be able to see what DF Hall might have that looks like the faux Magic Dawn, or if the online store's description is totally off base. Here is part of what R. Hornbaker wrote to me yesterday about his daylily: "I believe we bought that from Walters Gardens three decades ago. It was one of the first daylilies we ever bought."

BTW, although I haven't been to Hornbaker's, in Princeton IL, in many, many years, I may take a drive there in the next few days because they are only about 1 1l2 hours from me. They are well known throughout the Chicago area for their gorgeous hostas and daylilies and I was impressed with the owner's email about Magic Dawn.
