Growing has certainly become my focus since having to stay home. I leave only for grocery curbside each Saturday and on rare occasions slip into Walmart to pay for bagged gardening stuff I can load myself outside. Being a natural recluse, it's not really much of a burden.

But my old exercise, walking in the pool is unavailable with the activity center closed, and it's too hot to do much else. So I've begun projects in containers, raised beds and multiple hydroponic operations, and it all occupies me pretty much completely, what with doing, researching and planning. Gardening has kept me from being completely idle.

And a lot of the period was enriched my our purple martin colonies with about 48 houses and this year around 100 young born here. They all just left a few days ago to their mass regional roosts before leaving for Mexico. So I always have the task of cleaning out their nests for next year.
