I use elevated rotaries in the "back 40" and in-ground sprinklers around the house in TX. Well water, no chlorine. Everything on a timer during the dry. I bypass them if it rains and generally off Nov-Feb. Usually don't have to water in MI but it's a hose if I do. Treated Lake Huron water.
Life is better at the lake.
