This is such a nostalgic banner for me. Partly because of the daylily, but also because katydids have always played a role in my life. As a child I often wondered what animal or insect made that relentless noise; and usually beginning at dusk in the late summer and early fall. As I grew and learned more I found them to be the "Katydids" which were often joined by cicadas and crickets. Now in my senior years I always like to stop and listen whenever they begin to 'sing'. https://www.youtube.com/watch?...
