That's interesting! It snows in Northern Georgia and you have Savannah down South that has to worry about hurricanes if they come our direction.
Lowes and Home Depot here sell Hostas yearly. I've purchased almost all of mine from Lowes (only a couple from Home Depot). I think I have 11 hostas?
One was here when we bought the house in 2017. I'm not sure how old that one is. I transplanted it to a shade garden that I made. For the most part, they've gotten bigger every year. I have a couple that seem slower growing though. Does planting in pots restrict their growth at all? I hope mine are around in five years or more.

Our winters are odd. They're either relatively warm (like 70s in December
