I don't have the answer, Ronny. To me it seems like late cold snaps can catch a plant just right and cause problems. But I've tried a similar action as you. I have used bug spray, fungicides, and slug baits, thinking, can't hurt to try. Seems like EE's and E's that get it have more problems than M's and later blooming plants, which seem to recover for me and have normal bloom seasons.
