I'd settle for a couple of acres situated in a way that I don't hear neighbors or traffic.
My sister and her husband just threw caution to the winds in the middle of the pandemic and bought five acres in the mountains an hour out of San Diego. It backs up to an Open Space reserve so feels much larger. Most of it is native trees and shrubs, some is landscaped with xeric plants, and there is a mature fruit orchard. They've found numerous pathways and little hidy-hole clearings, some with with chairs and gazebos. They will build a small but efficient house. That's my dream! I would create a pollinator garden with tons of color, install a hammock (probably more than one), some sort of water to submerge in (small pool? hot-tubbish arrangement?) but even without amenities, I'd settle for quiet and green.
