So about that patio.... This is my area before we tore it all out and burned it. Full of termites and the idiot who built it, put it over the crawl space entry so we couldn't get under the house. Rolling my eyes.

This is that same spot now. I want to build wooden steps and then put hostas along the house and then put some concrete paver stones for a table. Hubby wants to pour the entire thing into concrete but I don't want to spend the money. We don't entertain hardly, we never have company, I mean it is very rare. In fact we have lived here over 8 years and never had anyone over but our immediate family. My husband is the city slicker type, he spends 5 mins outdoors before complaining about bugs, and goes in.So I don't see the purpose of a huge expensive patio. It faces north which I love though, nice shaded area to sit for a rest.
