Much as I wish everyone could learn Latin names, I more and more just feel using every Latin name ever known or suspected, plus common names, is the only way to know what anyone is talking about. When I see a university page like this, I assume they are using the most current accepted name

This is the time of year for another hobby-- going to the biggest local greenhouse I have within a half hour, drooling over many plants, being shocked at their prices, and poo pooing them all as too fussy, too common, too weird, too something.. Hilarious!
Plant it and they will come.
