This was sold to me as a Painted Lady. The two leaves when I got it looked just like pictures I see online. Although they do start more yellow and turn green, the pictures I've seen usually have uniform brushstroke variegation. Sometimes I see ones with solid green areas, but I haven't seen others like this with large areas of yellow/orange. I would think a deficiency if it wasn't for the clean lines and the stem also showing the same variegation as the corresponding leaf. One almost all yellow leaf has a tiny section of normal looking variegation at the top corner (it is only a little wavy because it's newly unfurled) and one is almost a half moon. I think it's a painted lady with extra aurea type variegation but someone suggested Strawberry Shake. Strawberry Shake doesn't look quite right to me. Any ideas or advice welcome! If my thoughts are wrong please be kind! I'm not claiming to know anything, just brainstorming and giving as much info as possible. No matter what it is she's pretty and I love her. I'm just so curious. Thank you!
