Philodendron Dark Lord is a marketing name that was made up by a seller. The plant that is sold as Dark Lord is actually Philodendron King (also called Ace) of Spades, which is an unknown hybrid that was 'discovered' and introduced in the late 1970's by parodist Russ Hammer of Florida. He found the plant in a nursery in Louisiana and the owner had no idea what it was or where it came from. He bought it. I got mine rom him in the early 2000's
