I have planted tulips, daffodils and other spring bulbs every year in the fall, it doesnt matter where or what kind of soil, it still blooms 2 to 3 weeks later than everyone else's. This last fall, i made sure to plant them deep enough but it's barely coming out now compared to other peoples spring bulbs.
Ive planted in full sun, partial sun and shade. Last year i lived in a different city and i had the same problems :/ Theyre all late! What's wrong?
