not getting enough light ....

less frequent watering during the winter months is absolutely necessary ..... that is making the stems feel less firm ...the stems will firm up with summer watering

wait until spring, or whenever it warms-up, to do any pruning or cutting .....the summer warmth + more watering will help the plant recover faster
