Tradescant looks loverly. Sticking tongue out

I'll have to add Tradescant to my collection of purplish DA roses. I have Falstaff, The Prince, Wm Shakespeare 2000, and Young Lycidas planted in my garden. Only Falstaff is well established in the garden. I'm afraid that the deer come from miles around to eat its leaves and flowers, so it is frequently on the brink of failure. I have high hopes for it this year; but its roses are not nearly so dark nor so large as Tradescant's.

Toni, someone needs to spray their computer screen with something fragrant.
