Come and listen to the story about a man named Jed
A poor gardeneer barely kept his family fed
Then one day he was growin' him some food
And up from the ground came tomatoes so good
...soil, that is, black gold, fertility
Well the first thing you know ol' Jed's out in the air
His kin folks said what'cha growin over there?
They said cauliflower is a thing you oughta see
So they loaded up their truck and went to a nursery
...store, that is, lots of seeds, in the cart.
Well now it's time to say hello, Jed's harvest has come in
And he would like to make some stew, and put some veggies in
You're all invited out next week to his locality
To have a heapin' helpin' of his stew and other greens.
...Arugula that is, grab a bunch, wash the dirt off.
