I hear you, Mona, on composting plants. I have now gotten to the point of "tough love". The problem is when I throw daylily seedlings in the compost pile, they don't die. If I leave them lying on top of the compost all winter long, they still put out new growth in the spring. Now if this were a $200 daylily exposed to those conditions, it would certainly die!
