We shipped out Special Ovation the other day and I noticed on the bloom that it had all that extra fleshy stuff on the midribs (midrib cristate). It wasn't doubling, it actually had the midrib cristate form going on. If you go to this link and scroll all the way to the bottom to the Trimmer photo, it had that look to it.

I wish I would have taken a photo, but I was in the middle of being extremely busy and just didn't do it.
I'm not sure how often it may throw that form, but maybe you will get some of that going on in some seedlings if you use the seedlings above in your hybridizing. It may be a recessive trait or it may have just been a one time deal, who knows
