Despite what I mentioned earlier about waiting to re-pot until after flowering ....I guess the best thing to do, is do what is best for the plant .... that is repot ....
have everything ready before repotting ...potting media mixed & ready
adenium potting media
Mix together:
1 Part: Coconut Coir -
1 Part: Redwood Bark (or) Orchid / Phalaenopsis Mix - Break-up, cut or crush larger stems & bark
1 Part: Poultry Grit (or) Pea Gravel > screen out dust
1 Part: Perlite - coarse > screen out dust
1 Part: Sand - coarse = Leveling, Horticultural, Builder's Sand > screen out fine sand & dust
1 Part: Lump charcoal - Break-up, Crush to 1/4" to ½" sized pieces > screen out dust
1 Part: Lava-rock – (volcanic cinders or pumice) > screen out dust
carefully remove from pot - disturb the roots as little as possible ..carefully knock off old clay ....rinse off the caudex with a hose ..... add about 1" layer of rock in the bottom of pot ....back-fill the bottom of pot with a hand-full of 2 of fresh potting media .... set caudex where you want it .... higher in pot A-Okay ....then back-fill around caudex ..... let sit a few days before watering in
