Hi Tempy,
It does look like damage caused by a combination of too much sun and water. The damaged rosettes may continue to produce new leaves from the center of the rosette. If so they will eventually be beautiful again.
Keep us updated on how they do. Maybe next week you can post new photos. Hurray!
