Seeds travel. They're designed for travel. Birds and animals (carry seeds in a variety of ways Smiling ), incomplete composting, bird feeders, wind... I'm always amazed at what pops up in my yard without being planted by me. I live at the very top of a hill, everything is downhill but the seeds still arrive somehow.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming...."WOW What a Ride!!" -Mark Frost
