Yes, that was my guess.
The only other possibility is that the hybrid vigor made it a much larger plant, which is very unlikely and uncommon, its probably crossed with something like nobile.
If it was crossed with something larger, it most certainly has to be nobile, because most other Aeoniums would have serrations. And obviously lily pad does not have serrations on the edge of its leaves.
