I do think 'Red Zinger' is probably the zestiest red cultivar I have, great color retention on that semp! I'm really a big fan of it's parent plant, another of Kevin's; 'Watermark King'. I raised some seed from 'Watermark King' in 2020, it's a bit more on the black/purple side of red, but it gives tremendous depth of color to it's seedlings. This cross from WK to 'Shirley's Joy' has really been a favorite of mine, I think the pronounced fringe cilia on such a deep back drop is quite beautiful, as weather warms this one will glow red as Rudolph's nose!…
