I have had a ruby clematis since 2016. It was in a pot until last year when it was planted in my garden. It has.always flowered well until this year. Now it has produced strange growths in all the leaf axillas. The leaves are healthy. The soil is quite poor. I have given it soluble feed and fish, blood and bone. I have added a photo.
