Joseph Ghio is the hybridizer and has been selling his PCI's from his Bayview Gardens. Joseph has a Facebook page devoted to Bayview Gardens and you may be able to reach him by messaging him on Facebook. Of note, Joseph is winding down his operation and has transferred his Tall bearded iris introductions to Schreiners, so just want to inform you that there is no guarantee that Joseph will continue to sell his PCI's to the public. I was going to offer to send you a plant in the future, but I now realize that I should have started out my reply by mentioning that PCI's are tolerant to a very narrow range of climate zones, and Canton Ohio's winters would be too severe for this iris to survive. An indoor greenhouse might work, but that too has a bleak outlook since PCI's are vey finicky and are very challenging to keep alive in a pot. They do much better planted in the ground. I'm so sorry to relay this news, as it's very discouraging and heartbreaking to know that the PCI's, such beautiful cultivars are not available for most folks to grow. There is some hope thought from what I've been reading that some hybridizers are attempting to cross Siberians and cold tolerant PCI's to achieve a hybrid with the physical characteristics typical of the Pacific Coast Native iris, but with the added bonus of being cold hardy. This can not come too soon!
