I believe you meant non-glazed Terra-cotta pot ...really ... Rolling on the floor laughing

have lost count - but all my adeniums have survived numerous hurricanes & tropical storms .... and I owe that to the chunky fast drain mix

your recent prune / cuts are probably okay without anything ....just try to keep those cuts dry - and let the cut surface harden or "callus over" ...they will be fine
