I have a number of lilies in the gardens (a few are known / registered) most of which were purchased thru 'assorted' mixes (ie, Asiatic vs. Oriental, etc.).

I have (2) Asiatic lilies blooming which came from the same 'assorted' package, but one of them looks quite different from what I would normally recognize as a lily.

The first, I would consider 'normal' ... but the second one (?)

Could anyone tell me: is this just a variant form, or is there something unusual about the shape of the petals of this second lily ...?

There are (2) flowers on this 2nd plant and both of the blooms of the second lily have the same curious shape, so I thought perhaps this is a 'different' lily...
Life is what happens while you are making other plans.
