After removing the pot carefully use a wire brush and brush the sides and top edge. This removes the lines that the bag made in the sides and roughs it up to give it that "old" look. Do this gently - if you brush too hard you'll tear chunks out of it. You may need to use a screwdriver to open up the drainage hole a bit again too.

After this step I mist the pot and put it in a (sealed) plastic grocery bag for 20-23 days, misting as needed to keep moisture in the bag. Then I soak it in a tub of water for 2-5 days, changing the water each day. This leaches out the lime. And now its ready to go!
