yep, big box stores here always put transplants out for the "Indian summer" and I'm AMAZED at the crowds with scads of (mostly the younger adults) who rush to buy them. . and all the other growing stuff (soil, fertilizer erc)
I just smile at them and think. . . . well, at least they'll know how to transplant into their already-prepared garden area when they come in to buy replacement transplants!!
