If you try to remove the plastic while it is full of your crop you will disrupt the crop roots and they will most likely be stunted or die.
You can however slit through the bottom of the bag and the roots will find a way into the soil
I have only removed the plastic entirely the next planting season.
..a balanced life is worth pursuit.
