I mail order plant stock, bare root stock, seeds & bulbs a lot, for over 45 years, various venders.
If there is a problem, when I contact the vendor, I keep notes. When I follow their rules, I expect to receive respect and a satisfying result.
My orders are always on my charge card. If I don't receive a satisfactory result, I file a claim with my charge card.
I have a vender "Black List". When I lecture at different garden events, a segment of my syllabus includes how to select a good vendor, and examples of orders gone south.
