I agree with the credit card solution- but I think it's too late for me to complain to them either as the pre-order was submitted in June of last year and I think they only allow me to dispute 90 days.

Lesson learned.

I had a similar dahlia experience as brieth95 last year... Longfield dahlias, which came in 3 packs, had some issues.. they looked good from outside the bag, but a lot of necks were snapped. appeared to be rough handling. a handful of the 50 or so arrived with every neck broken. You expect some, but holy cow, when I went back to them the company was superstar customer service/satisfaction, I couldn't have asked for more,

hollandbulb farm, on the other hand sent tubers that you could see through the plastic bags were rotted, smashed and stinking.. A blind man could see, and many of the healthy tubers had been so poorly treated that every neck was not only broken, but dangling like crystals on a chandelier. when I contacted holland bulb farm, first they said I had to send pictures, which I did. then they told me they can't tell from the pictures of rotted mush which dahlia it was and I'd have to take new pictures with the label from the bag, which I also did..with pictures of fungus and mush in their plastic bag, THEN after I had jumped through hours of hoops, they told me to plant them, take pictures of where I planted them and if they didn't grow to my satisfaction "later in the season" I could contact them, but until I gave the the opportunity to grow ( it was oatmeal- no way anything would grow) the guarantee doesn't apply. I literally sent them a picture of black tubers split open with oozing puss gooping out and they said we won't guarantee unless you plant them at the appropriate time and give it the whole summer.. Thumbs down

I did get a great deal, about 33% the price of other retailers, and had about 66% success- so i'm ahead of the game, but I'm working with 3 generations + 40 years experience, a cold frame/unheated greenhouse- I can turn lemons into lemonade.. but if those are their customer service policies.. they should simply say we don't care, we're inexpensive and your on your own..
