i have always been wary of certain "bulb" company's and read the reviews first before thinking about buying. Since Longfield is in New Jersey and not that far from me I order first from them because the climate and growing conditions are much the same. It's their job to insure the bulbs and tubers are correctly packaged and that the product is in good condition for planting. So far I've been relatively lucky dealing with them. The dahlia tubers arrived in good health and I was able to plant them without guessing if they would survive. I have suggested Longfield to a few gardeners and they have been satisfied with their orders. This year it's 2 tubers per bag as opposed to 3 per bag last year. I get it. Inflation. But still a good price although 3 made it even more tempting to keep on ordering.
