hi, I find this so interesting. (And, good for you, karma, with your protection Thumbs up )
My library has a building caretaker (do it all man) who loves outside work. When he transferred here from another branch, he wanted to bring his beloved Datura angels trumpet, single white flowers... I tried to raise concerns but nobody would listen. They grow out on one corner, kids don't go there and if anyone comes at night, well, we haven't been aware of that.
at home, behind our heighborhood, we had a small farm (couple of horses) get converted to housing. At one stage, the cleared fields put up a huge crop of common jimsonweed. Amazing! and we saw a couple guys walking through it who I swear were picking pods in a large amount.

But karma, best of your story is showing them all the 'toxic' stuff they already had and didn't know Thumbs up
Plant it and they will come.
