I ordered 7 Palatine roses for my DMIL, and every time we talk to them I get another enthusiastic report about them. I think she's getting more blooms from those 7 new bushes than she got from her whole rose garden during its last couple of years.. it was done over, and one quadrant is still roses (we brought that corner several feet forward for better sun), but the rest is shade garden now. I'm sure the extra sun helps, and I think the replanting I did helped also (the guy hired to plant them did an awful job, holes 6 inches wide and the bud union 3 inches above ground; Palatine gave me good advice, and I put them in holes about 2 feet wide & deep... awsome roots!). But the biggest difference is just the quality of those plants, especially with how they're performing their first year!
We're all learners, doers, teachers.
