Your plant isn't a Monstera. It's a related aroid, Rhaphidophora tetrasperma. It looks very overpotted for its size. It should be in about a 4" container from the looks of it. The reason it looks so sad is that it has never had enough light, and because yes, this is a climbing aroid. For a 2 year old plant, your leaves are stunted and still in the barely juvenile stage almost of a fresh cutting.

I would repot this into fresh soil in a smaller container, give it a support to climb and put it into a much brighter window
