Coast redwoods need excellent drainage and moist but not soggy soil. Check to make sure you aren't over or underwatering. But, a Coast redwood is going to have a tough time growing in South Florida - it is way outside their comfort zones in the ground and you are attempting to grow one in a pot. I'm not sure its possible.
