This tree that I planted in a pot seems to be dying, it is a coast redwood tree. It is very important to me. I want to know what I am doing wrong. Can I still save it.

Welcome!

Coast redwoods need excellent drainage and moist but not soggy soil. Check to make sure you aren't over or underwatering. But, a Coast redwood is going to have a tough time growing in South Florida - it is way outside their comfort zones in the ground and you are attempting to grow one in a pot. I'm not sure its possible.

Thank you for your response. It is a special meaning for me cuz I got it when we traveled to the NE for my wedding and hope to plant it when me and my wife eventually get a home together somewhere. It grew very well in the first pot and now I am trying to keep it alive. I water it very delicately as to not over saturate it. Do you have any suggestions on how to keep it going? Also, from the picture does it look like it is struggling? Maybe a bigger pot?

Heavy ceramic pots often have just one hole in the center, and just don't seem to drain well, don't allow soil to breathe. I have had plants fail due to that type of pot. Nursery plastic with lots of holes work great for me. I don't think you want to go way bigger all at once though.
And, yes, this isn't an easy fix, given it is already struggling and not happy in FL.
Crossing Fingers! good luck but remember the important thing is the memory, NOT the specific plant.
Plant it and they will come.

All the above and check the pH. Coast redwood needs a pH of about 6.5
Good luck!
