Welcome!
What is deer-resistant in one area may be a favorite food in another area. Further, their preferences change from year-to-year and season-to-season depending on what other foods are available. The truth is that deer will eat almost anything, including deer-proof plants, if they are hungry enough.

My advice is to start with a local list of deer-resistant plants (from fellow gardeners in your area) and select a few varieties that you would like to try. Plant them out and wait a year or two to see if the deer actually ignore them. If they do, go ahead and do a full planting. If not, try again with different varieties.

Good luck!
