I water mine whenever the compost is bone dry. I have a lot of them. I started off with two and now I have a lot because they grow so quickly and produce lots of babies within a year. When they grow big the roots can also get very fat in the pot and sometimes they need the button half of there root ball cutting and then potted back with some fresh compost otherwise they can get very root bound making watering more difficult.
