If they came bare root from Amazon, I would be careful about having plants that are infected with virus. There is quite a high incidence of Hosta Virus X in such hostas. So, for now, I would keep them separate and pot each one. Be sure your hands are clean before going to another. And I would grow them in pots for at least a couple of years to ensure they are healthy. Meanwhile, research and learn about HVX and how to recognize it. And develop a habit of cleaning your tools with an antiseptic wipe between plants. http://www.hostalibrary.org/fi...
