You have a good setup, Ylis. I agree about the retail price of plant lights with stands is generally ridiculously expensive, which is why I looked into make my own too. With the adenium seedlings, I might have to put together another 2' one by spring, when I'll need the light they're currently under for my spring seeds. I don't think just being in the south window will be enough for them. But it will be only from mid-March to mid-May hopefully, with some days being able to put them outside, so not sure which way I'll go yet.
