@Dave, most of my posts to garden.org in the past few years have contained a link to flickr that returns a series of my photos related to the specific plant that I posted about. When I post that same link to facebook, it grabs the first photo in the series and posts that as a link.
so, to answer your question, I usually always post links like this.
I plan on using google photos instead of flickr in the future. Seems like Flickr was on life support a few years back and Smugmug did not choose to resuscitate.
