First ...Welcome to the National Gardening Association Adenium forums !

wait until spring when growth returns

To get the twisted roots - prepare to repot your adenium(s) with a sandy, chunky potting medium and unglazed pot ....

pull adenium(s) from pot ..... knock off all old potting media ....and wash all remaining dirt off roots -
layer in a 1 inch rock layer at bottom of pot ....this will help drainage and force roots to grow outwards, instead of downwards like carrot ....

layer in a thin layer of prepared potting media ...

next - set adenium root ball so the longest roots touch first layer of potting mix ....
layer in another thin layer of potting mix ....then lift & turn adenium root ball so it twists - 1/4 turn ...
layer in yet another thin layer of potting mix ....twisting the adenium root ball 1/4 turn right, more soil ....then 1/4 left...add more soil .....repeat until caudex is 1 to 1-1/2" higher than where it was originally
Tip: sprinkle in a little Osmocote 14-14-14 with each added layer of potting media
