I started liking zinnias after I planted my candy cane zinnias. I bought some more today. I've been trying to look for the very tall red ones. I did see one with salmon color blooms. I had some many butterflies in my yard last year because of the zinnias. My soil is clay and its so difficult to work with. I've been using Black Kow composted cow manure to amend my flowerbeds. I do have a few pockets of sandy loam but my soil is mostly "gumbo" clay. Here is a picture of my new flowerbed. I still have plenty of work to do on it.
