This Sedum makinoi Ogon is wintering over very well, even when it got down close to 20 deg. These were all naturally seeded from a plant that was in my "ducky" planter. They simply appeared where there were none before. I'm surprised the large patch has done so well because it is right next to a clump of Japanese iris that I water alot in the summer.

I had 3 pots of Ogon that didn't make it out of their pots but I took care of them the best I could and they are all dead. So it would seem that the best place for Ogon is planted in the garden.
