Beautiful roses, Clusiana.

Toni, just don't wake me up, will you? Whistling And be sure to leave something gorgeous that I don't have!

Zu, I visited a nearby rose garden this afternoon and they had in their garden R. Love. A couple of years ago I posted a photo of a rose I have which I thought was Double Delight (it's one of those Big Lots roses that DH bought, planted and threw the tag away, so I have no clue what it really is, but red on top with white underneath). Anyhow, you suggested that it might be Love, but mine definitely does not look like the Love I saw this afternoon. Not criticizing, just FYI. That rose will remain a mystery, I guess, because I've since purchased Double Delight and it doesn't look like it either. Of course, my mystery rose has remained small, so maybe time will tell which one it is. Maybe not.

Molineux is coming alive, finally, after suffering setback from those worms and Gertrude Jekyll is blooming, but not as robustly as last year. I didn't do any drastic pruning on anything, so I'm a little puzzled. Maybe she'll fill out, though. It's still early. Graham Thomas is putting forth lots of blooms and Geschwin's Orden is opening up. I'm going to have to move it, even though it's against a fence. It's really taking over and needs to be growing against a barn or a huge arbor. Really beautiful rose, though.
I think that if ever a mortal heard the voice of God it would be in a garden at the cool of the day. ~F. Frankfort Moore, A Garden of Peace
